Dr Michael Gough is the Medical Director at Evernu and the clinician responsible for clinical governance across every treatment area — hormone health, weight management, hair loss and sexual health. He sets the prescribing protocols and patient-safety standards our clinicians work to, and reviews the medical content published on this site.
He is also the named clinician who reviews medical content across this site. The “Medically reviewed by” line on a treatment page records when the clinical claims on it were last checked against current UK guidance — it isn't a badge.
Remote care works when you know who is doing what. Two of these stages are clinical decisions. Two are not — and we think it matters that you can tell which is which.

Whether your treatment starts with a blood test or a medical questionnaire, what you submit is assessed against the protocols our Medical Team sets — not a form that approves itself. People are declined at this stage.
A UK-registered prescriber · Video consultation, or a review of your case
For hormone health that means a video consultation with the clinician who would be prescribing for you, after two blood tests. For weight management it means a clinician reading your assessment and your ID check, then writing or refusing your plan. Either way a named prescriber decides — nothing is issued automatically.
