Patient Safety & Governance

At Evernu, patient safety is the core of our clinical practice. We operate under strict UK healthcare regulations to ensure that every treatment we provide is safe, appropriate, and clinically monitored.

1. Our Clinical Team

All prescriptions are issued by UK-registered healthcare professionals who are subject to regular audits and professional development.

  • Clinical Lead: Dr. Michael Gough (GMC: 7263528)
  • Pharmacy Partner: All medications are dispensed by Primed Pharmacy (Certus Healthcare Ltd), GPhC Reg: 1039469

2. Identity & Age Verification

To prevent the unauthorized acquisition of prescription medication, we utilize DidIt, a world-leading identity verification platform.

  • Every patient must provide a valid government-issued ID.
  • We use biometric facial recognition to ensure the person requesting treatment matches the ID provided.
  • Under-18 Policy: We do not treat anyone under the age of 18.

3. Independent Clinical Verification

For high-risk treatments, including GLP-1 weight loss medications, we do not rely solely on digital questionnaires.

  • Photo Verification: Patients are required to upload unaltered, time-stamped photographs to verify their BMI and physical condition.
  • Clinical Review: Every consultation is manually reviewed by a human clinician. We do not use automated "auto-approval" bots.

4. Continuity of Care (GP Notification)

Safe prescribing requires a joined-up approach. We strongly believe your regular GP should be kept informed of your treatment.

  • We provide a secure mechanism to notify your GP of any medications we prescribe.
  • If you choose to opt-out, our clinicians will conduct a secondary risk assessment to determine if it is safe to proceed without such notification.

5. Side Effect Reporting (Yellow Card Scheme)

We monitor the safety of all medicines we prescribe. If you experience an adverse reaction, you should:

  • Report to us: Message your clinician via the Evernu dashboard.
  • Report to the MHRA: Use the Yellow Card Scheme to report side effects directly to the UK regulator.

6. Genuine Medication Guarantee

All medication supplied via Evernu is sourced through regulated UK wholesalers.

  • We do not source medication from outside the legitimate UK supply chain.
  • Every package is shipped in discreet, tamper-evident packaging.
  • Cold-chain medications (e.g., Mounjaro) are shipped in specialized validated cooling wool or medical-grade isothermal packaging to maintain temperatures between 2°C and 8°C.

7. Raising a Safety Concern

If you have a concern regarding your clinical care or a safety incident, please contact our Clinical Governance Team immediately at governance@evernu.co.uk.

8. BMI & Identity Verification Guide

To comply with UK clinical safety standards, we require independent verification of your height and weight before any weight-management treatment is prescribed. Please follow these instructions carefully to avoid delays in your clinical review.

Photo 1: The Identity & Date Check (Front View)

  • The Pose: Stand facing the camera, full-body (head to toe) must be visible.
  • The Requirement: Hold a piece of paper with today's date and your order number written clearly in large letters.
  • The Clothing: Please wear fitted clothing (e.g., gym wear or a base layer). Baggy clothing, coats, or robes will be rejected as they obscure body composition.
  • The Frame: Ensure your face is clearly visible and matches your ID document.

Photo 2: The Side Profile (Verification View)

  • The Pose: Turn 90 degrees to the side. Stand naturally with your arms slightly away from your body.
  • The Requirement: This photo allows our clinicians to accurately assess abdominal distribution, which is a key clinical marker for metabolic health.
  • The Frame: Full-body must be visible from head to toe.

9. Photo Quality Standards

To protect your privacy and ensure clinical accuracy, please ensure:

  • Original Photos Only: Do not use filters, screenshots, or "live" photos that have been edited. Our system detects metadata for image integrity.
  • Lighting: Use a well-lit room with a plain background if possible. Avoid standing in front of mirrors (unless someone else is taking the photo) as the reflection can distort measurements.
  • Solitary: You must be the only person in the frame.

"As of 2026, GPhC regulations state that a digital questionnaire alone is insufficient for high-risk prescribing. We use these photos to cross-reference your reported BMI with clinical visual markers to ensure that GLP-1 medications (like Mounjaro and Wegovy) are safe for your specific body type."
